Presentation Guideline for Authors
Congratulations on your paper being accepted into ICUFN 2023!
Papers assigned to an oral session must be presented on-site. Remote presentation is allowed only for those registered for remote presentation (virtual author). Papers assigned to a poster session must be presented using a poster board on-site. Poster presentation using a recorded video is allowed only for those registered for remote presentation (virtual author). Please refer to the following guideline below for more details.
Please note that No-Show of scheduled papers will result in exclusion from the conference proceedings and IEEE Digital Library
Please also note that the final program can be found at https://icufn.org/?page_id=133 and the presentation schedule is based on Paris time.
[Conference Guidance for Authors (On-Site)]
1. Presentation Guideline for Oral Session
1) Duration of Your Presentation
Your talk should be no longer than 20 minutes including Q&A.
2) Equipment in a Presentation Room
Each presentation room will have a beam projector and a computer with PowerPoint and a USB port.
3) Presentation Preparation
Bring a USB memory with your PowerPoint presentation and make sure that your file is copied on the computer in the session room. Please arrive at the presentation room 5-10 minutes before the actual session starts and introduce yourself to the session chair. If possible, please be prepared to give some bibliographic details about yourself to the chairperson so that he/she can introduce you before your presentation.
2. Presentation Guideline for Poster Session
1) Duration of the Presentation
Each session has 80 minutes, requiring all presenters to be available at their posters during the session.
2) Poster Specification
Posters must be designed to fit a poster board. A Poster with A0 size (841 mm x 1,189 mm) would be fine. Posters may be prepared as a single poster (preferred) or as several smaller sections mounted together. The heading of the poster should list the paper title, author(s) name(s), and affiliation(s).
3) Poster Set-Up
Posters may be attached to the boards by push pins or tapes, which will be provided. Posters must be set up by presenters 10 minutes before the session starts. Posters must be removed by presenters immediately after the session is over. Posters not removed by 10 minutes after the session will be removed by volunteers (session organizers not responsible for posters left after this deadline)
[Conference Guidance for Virtual Authors only (Online)]
1. Presentation Guideline for Oral Session (for virtual authors only)
1) Conference Sign Up
As a registered attendee of ICUFN2023, you should have already registered at https://icufn.org/?page_id=139 and have received a valid ID (Registration ID). Now you need to go to the online conference website (https://icufn.org/) and sign up for an account. Please note that the “ICUFN 2023 On-line Access” button will be displayed at icufn.org before the conference starts (before/on July 3, 2023).
2) Install Zoom
If you do not have Zoom, please install it. (https://zoom.us/download)
3) Enter Zoom Meeting
As an author or a speaker, you have the obligation to attend the session online and answer questions from attendees of the conference in Zoom.
Please join the online conference session, where your paper is assigned and click the "Join Session" button. It is important that you join the Zoom meeting 10 minutes before the session is scheduled to begin, to create your Badge and meet the student volunteer (with name [Name] (Volunteer or Staff)).
4) Create your Zoom “Badge”
When in Zoom, click Participants at the bottom (if using Desktop Zoom)
In the Participants pane, hover over your name and click “More”
Click “Rename”
Enter: [Your Name] (Author)
5) Turn on Your Video
It is strongly recommended that you turn on your video and unmute your microphone while answering questions during the session.
6) Questions and Answers
In the case of the Oral session, Q&A may take about 3-5 minutes at the end of each talk. When answering questions from the audience, please unmute your microphone and speak directly. If you have any questions to the volunteers, please use the Zoom chat window.
7) Adjust Your Badge
Remove “(Author)” from your name to avoid any confusions in the other sessions that you will be attending.
2. Preparation Guideline for Poster Session (for virtual authors only)
You are required to record and submit a video of your talk (around 10 ~ 15 minutes) by July 2 (Saturday), 2023. When submitting a video file for your presentation, make sure the format is in mp4 with maximum capacity of 500MB. To upload your video, visit the following website:
